 VISAS ON ARRIVAL

Visas on arrival are also available for tourists and conference participants at Addis Ababa (Bole) International airport, at a cost of approximately US$52 for 30 days. It is recommended that you bring US$ cash to pay for this.

E-VISAS IN ADVANCE

Effective June 1, 2018, the Main Department for Immigration and Nationality Affair, in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines, has rolled out its e-visa service to all international visitors to Ethiopia. Therefore, all applicants are urged to apply for their visas online, exclusively at www.evisa.gov.et  You will require a letter of invitation from Ethiopian Airlines which will be provided upon registration and request.

The Government of Ethiopia is not responsible for any payments made or for the inconveniences this might create on the applicants.

PASSPORT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of six months from the date of entry into Ethiopia. Make sure you have two blank pages in your passport on arrival.

YELLOW FEVER REQUIREMENTS

The government of Ethiopia requires proof of yellow fever vaccination if you are traveling from a country with risk of yellow fever virus transmission and ≥9 months of age, including transit >12 hours in an airport located in a country with risk of yellow fever virus transmission.
